Privacy

Vigie Quartier is anonymous: no account, name, email or phone number is asked for.

Information collected

• Reports: category, landmark, optional text and a location rounded to about 100 metres.
• Abuse prevention: an encrypted fingerprint of the IP address. The address itself isn't kept.
• Alerts, if you turn them on: the browser's notification address, a rounded location, radius and categories.

Use and retention

This information is only used to show the map, limit abuse and send alerts. Reports are deleted no later than 30 days after they're created. Alerts are deleted when turned off or after 180 days without a visit. Data may be hosted outside Quebec.

Cookies and advertising

Google AdSense shows ads and may use cookies. Your consent is asked on your first visit and can be changed at any time (Google's policy). Map tiles come from OpenStreetMap.
